Removing the battery

Prerequisites

Remove the base cover.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.

2. Remove the four screws (M2x3.0) that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.

3. Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.

4. Press and hold the power button for five seconds to ground the system board.
