Removing the speakers

Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

2. Peel off the pieces of tape that secure the speaker cable to the palm-rest assembly.

3. Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.

4. Note the position of the rubber grommets before lifting the speaker.

5. Remove the speakers from the alignment posts and lift the speakers off the palm-rest assembly.
