Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery.

Procedure

1. Remove the two screws (M2x3.5) that secure the fan to the palm-rest assembly.

2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.

3. Lift the fan off the palm-rest assembly.
