Prerequisites

1 Remove the battery.

2 Remove the optical drive.

3 Remove the keyboard.

4 Remove the base cover.

5 Remove the memory module.

6 Remove the wireless card.

7 Remove the display assembly.

8 Remove the power-button board.

9 Remove the system board.

Procedure

1 Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power-adapter port to the palm-

rest assembly.
