Removing the speakers

Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

2. Disconnect the power and volume-buttons board cable and the coin-cell battery cable from the I/O board.

3. Note the cable routing and remove the power and volume-buttons board cable from the routing guides on the palm rest and keyboard

assembly and the speaker.

4. Note the cable routing and remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm rest and keyboard assembly.

5. Peel off the tape that secures the speaker cable to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
