Steps

1. In reverse order (following the numeral markings on the heat sink, from 4 to 1), loosen the four captive screws (M2x5.85)

that secure the heat sink to the system board.

2. Lift and remove the heat sink off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
