Replacing the 2-in-1 Processor and Memory Board

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2. Remove the palm rest. See Replacing the Palm Rest.
3. Remove the two thermal pads on the processor.
4. Place the thermal pads on the new 2-in-1 memory and processor board.
5. Remove the two M2x4-mm screws that secure the 2-in-1 memory and processor board.
6. Use your fingertips to carefully spread apart the securing clips on either side of 2-in-1 memory and processor board connector until the board pops up.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such
as a connector on the back of the computer).
NOTICE: When the 2-in-1 memory and processor board is not in the computer, store it in protective antistatic packaging (see "Protecting Against
Electrostatic Discharge" in the safety instructions that shipped with your computer).
NOTE: The thermal pads may stick to the bottom of the palm rest. Remove the thermal pads from the bottom of the palm rest.
