After the virtual switches were created, Windows automatically created two more virtual
network adapters at the base OS level called vEthernet(Vswitch-priv) and
vEthernet(Vswitch-priv). These are technically the same adapter as BOND-priv and
BOND-pub. These were renamed with the following two user-friendly names:
dMan-priv: renamed from vEthernet(Vswitch-priv). This adapter represents
the DISOD management (dMan) server’s private network adapter at the physical OS
level.
dMan-pub: renamed from vEthernet(Vswitch-pub). This adapter represents
the DISOD management server’s public network adapter at the physical OS level.
Table 8 lists the pre-assigned IP address for the private management port (dMan-priv).
Also, as shown in Table 8, the public management port and the iDRAC port on the
management server are not preconfigured because these must be configured with the
customer’s public network IP address.
