4 DISOD software configuration
This section describes the software configuration that the following hardware components
in the DISOD ships with:
DAAD storage array configuration
Database nodes configuration
Management server configuration
4.1 DAAD storage array configuration
This section provides the details of the DAAD 2.0 storage array that is configured by using
Dell’s best practices for Oracle Databases. As described in the section
2.2 Shared storage
array
, DISOD 2.0 supports both capacity flavors of DAAD 2.012.8 TB DAAD 2.0 that uses
four 3.2 TB Fusion ioMemory adapters, and 25.6 TB DAAD 2.0 that uses four 6.4 TB Fusion
ioMemory adapters. The software configuration details and the best practices described in
this section applies to both flavors of DAAD 2.0 storage arrays that are supported with
DISOD 2.0.
Each DAAD storage node has four ioMemory flash adapters, each with either 3.2 TB or 6.4
TB disk capacity. As shown in Figure 13, with DAAD ION HA clustering enabled, the four
ioMemory adapters (ioMemory1-4) in one DAAD storage node are mirrored with the four
ioMemory adapters in the other node of the HA pair,.
