1. Login to the HITKIT VM using root privilege through SSH.
2. Select the Diagnostics
option in the Hitkit VMware
List of items is displayed.
3. Select Gather support Information from the list of items.
The output file is saved in the CIFS share —
\\<share IP>\database\<logsfile.zip> file.
4. Run the command: net use \\<share IP>\database\USER:<share IP>\<username>
<password> to connect to the appliance from the local system.
5. Run the command: CMD /C MOVE /Y\\<share IP>\database\<logsfile.zip> “<User
selected path>” to copy the logs to the local system.
6. Run the command net use \\<share IP>\database /d to disconnect the appliance from the local
system.
Manually Uploading Data Collection To HTTPs Site
The Lasso Java user interface can be used to assist in manual upload of the Lasso collection to the https site.
Before uploading, click
Open Location to view the collection. The folder where the collection is saved is displayed.
To automatically upload the collection, select the Yes and Upload Full Collection options. Click
Upload available in the
panel.
To manually upload the collection, use the following details:
• HTTPS location:
https://dtxdropbox.dell.com
• Contact Dell representative for the user name and password information.
NOTE
:
User name and password is case sensitive and active for 7 days for the web site. The files displayed
on the site is secured and are not downloadable from the server. Access to files is strictly limited to
authorized Dell personnel using a different tool. This site is a dropbox only.
