Installing the keyboard daughter board

1 Place the keyboard daughter board into the slot on the computer.

2 Connect the following cables to the connectors on the keyboard daughter board:

a LED board

b keyboard daughter board

c touchpad

d keyboard backlight

e keyboard

3 Install the:

a battery

b base cover

4 Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.

Touchpad

Removing the touchpad

1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

2 Remove the:

a base cover

b battery

3 Open the latches and disconnect the following cables from the system board:

a keyboard daughter board [1] [2]

b Remove the keyboard daughter board cable from the computer [3]

c touchpad [4] [5]

d Remove the touchpad cable from the computer [6]
