Palm Rest


1. Follow the instructions in "Preparing to Work Inside the Computer" to remove the battery and prepare the computer for work.
2. Remove the hard drive.
3. Remove the keyboard.

4. Remove the display.
5. Turn the computer over and remove the nine M2.5 x 6-mm screws.



6. Remove the two M2 x 1.8-mm screws located inside the battery bay.
7. Turn the computer over and remove the four M2.5 x 6-mm screws.

CAUTION: Before performing the following procedures, read the safety instructions in your System Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such
as the back panel) on the computer.
NOTICE: You must remove the display assembly before you remove the palm rest; the display hinges pass through the back of the palm rest.
