Part Configuration Update
From the part configuration update drop-down, select one of the following:
Disabled
— The feature is disabled and the current configuration is not
applied if a part is replaced.
Apply always
— The feature is enabled and the current configuration is
applied if a part is replaced.
Apply only if firmware match
— The feature is enabled and the current
configuration is applied only if the current firmware matches with the
firmware of a replaced part.
Viewing Hardware Inventory
Use this feature to view the hardware-related information for hardware
components that are internal to the system chassis and the configuration for
each component. This feature is independent of the operating system that may
or may not be installed on the managed node. See Table C-1 for more
information on the easy-to-use names of the hardware components listed on the
View Hardware Inventory
page.
NOTE: Incorrect inventory data is displayed after performing Delete Configuration
and Reset Defaults. See "Viewing and Exporting Hardware Inventory after Resetting
Lifecycle Controller" on page 71 for displaying correct inventory data.

Exporting Hardware Inventory
Use this feature to export the hardware related information to an XML file.
Store the XML file on an USB Device, or Network Share, or both the
locations.
See Table C-1 for more information on the easy-to-use names of the
hardware components that are exported into the XML file.
NOTE: Incorrect inventory data is exported into the XML file after performing
Delete Configuration and Reset Defaults. See
"Viewing and Exporting Hardware
Inventory after Resetting Lifecycle Controller" on page 71 for exporting correct
inventory data into the XML file.
NOTE: The XML file is saved in this format -
HardwareInventory_<servicetag>_<timestamp>.xml
