Adding a Comment to Lifecycle Log
Use to this feature to record comments that is usable at a later date. For
example, scheduled downtime information.
NOTE: You can type a maximum of 100 characters in the Lifecycle Log field.
To add comments:

Click
Lifecycle Log
on the left pane.

Click on
Add a comment to Lifecycle Log
on the right pane.

In the
Add a comment to Lifecycle Log
field, enter your comments and
click
OK
.
Upgrading to an iDRAC6 Express Card
This section provides information about installing an iDRAC6 Express card,
transferring the iDRAC6 Express card from one system to another system,
and Uninstalling iDRAC6 Express card. This hardware upgrade also upgrades
USC to USC-LCE.
NOTE: This is applicable only to Dell System Series
y21x-y51x
.
NOTE: Some links and features are not accessible if an older version of iDRAC
firmware is used. Ensure that the latest iDRAC firmware is installed.
Installing the iDRAC6 Express Card

Power off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect
the system from the electrical outlet.
NOTE: To discharge the residual power in the system, press the
power
button once.

Insert the iDRAC6 Express card into the iDRAC6 Express slot.

on installing iDRAC6 Express Card.

Reconnect the system and peripherals to their power sources.
iDRAC automatically starts. Wait one minute, before switching on the
system, to allow the iDRAC to fully start.

Turn on the system, and then press
<F10>
to enter USC.
