Serial Interface Operation

4 Go to Step 9.

5 Open HyperTerminal from the computer Start menu:

Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > HyperTerminal.

The Connection Description dialog displays.

NOTE:

If the Connection Description dialog does not display when the New connection - Hyper Terminal window

opens, select File > New Connection from the File menu to open the dialog.

6 Enter a name for the connection in the Name: field. Select an icon representing the type of connection you

will use, then click OK (see Figure 29).

7 On the Connect To dialog, provide the communication details for connecting to the rPDU you intend to

remotely configure and monitor (see Figure 30).
