The autoloader’s tape library does not support automatic cleaning, and
the
Cleaner Management option should not be present in Removable
Storage
. To perform Cleaner Management operations using the
commands in the system’s front panel, perform the following steps:
a Ensure that a free slot is available in the tape library for the
cleaning tape.
b On the Windows desktop, right-click My Computer and
select
Manage .
The
Computer Management window appears.
c In the Computer Management console tree under Storage , expand
the
Removable Storage console, and then expand the Libraries tree.
The
DELL PV-122T icon appears in the Libraries directory.
d Right-click the library icon and select Door Access to unlock the
library door.
The
Unlock Door prompt appears.
e Click OK .
f On the library front panel, select Commands → Clean Drive and
press
Enter .
The library door opens.
g Insert the cleaning tape into the available slot.
The cleaning operation starts automatically.
h When the cleaning operation is complete, the library
automatically ejects the cleaning tape.
i At the Lock Door prompt, click OK .
