This command has the following parameters.
stack unit unit-number — Enter the keywords stack unit and specify the stack unit number. The range is from 1 to 12.
threshold-value — Enter the power threshold limit value in percentage. Range is from 10 to 99. Default value is 99.
Example of Setting the Global Threshold Limit
The following example sets the global threshold limit for the PoE power budget to 10 percent on stack unit 1.

Manage Power Priorities
Ports enabled with PoE/PoE+ have power access priorities based on the conguration and the port number.
The power priority is assigned in the following order:
1 Ports congured using power inline mode stack-unit unit-number {class | static} — Ports with static setting
have higher priority than the ports with class setting.
2 Power priority setup using power inline priority {critical | high | low} — The critical has the highest priority
and low has the lowest priority. If you congure a priority with this command, the Dell Networking OS ignores any LLDP-MED priority
on the port. If you do not congure a priority with this command, the Dell Networking OS honors any LLDP-MED priority
3 Port Number — Ports with lower numbers have more priorities than ports with higher numbers.
Power Allocation to Ports
When PoE/PoE+ is enabled, the power allocated to a port depends on how the PoE/PoE+ is enabled on the port and whether a device is
connected to the port.
When you congure a port using the power inline command without setting the max_milliwatts power limit option, the Dell
Networking OS does not allocate any power to the port unless a device is connected and there is no limit to the amount of power
consumed by the powered device.
When you congure a port using power inline with the max_milliwatts power limit option, the Dell Networking OS does not
allocate any power to the port unless a device is connected and restricts the maximum power consumed by the powered device to the
amount set in the max_milliwatts option.
If the maximum power required for the connected device is less than the specied power limit, Dell Networking OS allocates the
required amount of power and returns the remaining power to the budget.
If the maximum power required for the connected device is more than the specied power limit, Dell Networking OS does not allocate
any power.
If there is no enough power in the budget, the conguration is maintained and the port waits till the required power is available.
The max_milliwatts option has no eect on a port, when the port is congured in Class mode.
