File Server Settings
Set up a le server and ensure connectivity.
To allow le transfers to the switch, congure the le server that holds the boot and conguration les. The system recognizes HTTP,
HTTPS, SFTP, TFTP, FTP, USB, and Flash URLs.
For example:
• tftp://server ip or name/filename
• ftp://user:passwd@serverip or name//mypath/Dell-A.B.C.D.bin
• flash://filename
• http://host[:port]/file-path
• sftp://user:passwd@server//path/filename
• usbflash://path/filename
When loading the Dell EMC Networking OS image, if the Dell EMC Networking OS image on the server is dierent from the image on the
local ash, the system downloads the image from the server onto the local ash and reloads using that image. If the Dell EMC Networking
OS image on the server is the same image, the system loads the conguration le, if present, or the startup-cong without downloading a
new image.
Domain Name Server Settings
To determine the host name applied in the switch startup conguration, when no conguration le is retrieved from the DHCP server, set
up a domain name server (DNS).
The DNS is contacted only when no conguration le is contained in a DHCP server response and the host name is not resolved from the
network-cong le on the switch.
BMP MIB Support
The Management Information Base (MIBs) and the corresponding congurations are as follows:
MIB OID
