Command History

The following is a list of the Dell Networking OS version history for this command.
Version Description
9.9(0.0) Introduced on the C9010.
9.8(0.0P5) Introduced on the S4048–ON.
9.8(0.0P2) Introduced on the S3048–ON.
9.7(0.0) Introduced on the IOA and S6000–ON.
9.6(0.0) Introduced on the S5000.
9.5(0.0) Introduced on the S4810, S4820T, S6000, Z9000, and
Z9500.
Usage Information
You can enter the verify command in the following ways:
• verify md5 flash://img-file
• verify md5 flash://img-file<hash-value>
• verify md256 flash://img-file
• verify md256 flash://img-file<hash-value>
NOTE: The hash type md5 option is available only when you disable FIPS
mode; the
hash type md5 and sha256 options are available when you
enable FIPS mode.

Output example without entering the Hash Value for verification using SHA256:
Dell# verify sha256 flash://Dell-SE-9.5.0.0.bin
