7 The system sends a message to the server to retrieve the named conguration le or pre–conguration script and/or boot le from
the base directory of the server.
a If you use the optional bootfile-name command, the lename can be 256 bytes. If you specify the lename eld in the
DHCP oer, the lename can be 128 bytes. The name can be a fully qualied URL or a lename only.
b When a Dell EMC Networking OS build image is found, the system compares that build image to the version currently loaded on
the chassis.
If there is a mismatch between the build images, the system upgrades to the downloaded version and reloads.

If the versions match, the system downloads the conguration le or pre–conguration script.

c If you download the conguration le or pre–conguration script from the server, the ash ignores any saved startup
conguration. If you do not download the conguration le or pre–conguration script from the server, the startup conguration
le on the ash loads in Normal reload.
8 When the Dell EMC Networking OS build image and conguration le or pre–conguration script download, the IP address is released.
NOTE
: In the pre–conguration script, the DHCP IP address is released after the script
executes.
9 The system applies the conguration. The system is now up and running and you can manage it as usual.
10 SHA256/MD5 hash veries the integrity of the les BMP downloads. For each le, the relevant filename.sha256 or
filename.md5 must be present in the same location as the Dell EMC Networking OS image – script or conguration le.
a When you disable FCoE initialization protocol (FIPs) mode:
If both filename.sha256 and filename.md5 are not present, the image is downloaded without validation.
