File Server Settings
Set up a le server and ensure connectivity.
To allow le transfers to the switch, congure the le server that holds the boot and conguration les. The system recognizes HTTP,
HTTPS, SFTP, TFTP, FTP, USB, and Flash URLs.
For example:
tftp://server ip or name/filename
ftp://user:passwd@serverip or name//mypath/Dell-A.B.C.D.bin
flash://filename
http://host[:port]/file-path
https://[<user:pass>@]host[:port]/file-path
sftp://user:passwd@server//path/filename
usbflash://path/filename
When loading the Dell EMC Networking OS image, if the Dell EMC Networking OS image on the server is dierent from the image on the
local ash, the system downloads the image from the server onto the local ash and reloads using that image. If the Dell EMC Networking
OS image on the server is the same image, the system loads the conguration le, if present, or the startup-cong without downloading a
new image.
Domain Name Server Settings
To determine the host name applied in the switch startup conguration, when no conguration le is retrieved from the DHCP server, set
up a domain name server (DNS).
The DNS is contacted only when no conguration le is contained in a DHCP server response and the host name is not resolved from the
network-cong le on the switch.
BMP MIB Support
The Management Information Base (MIBs) and the corresponding congurations are as follows:
