The value returned is appended
with zeroes so that it is always
40 characters long.
Example:
A:>syscfg --
encryptkey=abcd
encryptkey=
ABCD00000000000
000000000000000
0000000000
--extserial

Description
Sets the behavior of the external serial connector. When set to
com1 , the BIOS maps the external serial connector to COM port 1.
The com1 setting is the default.
When set to com2 , the external serial connector is routed to the
COM2 interface. Terminal escape sequences can toggle the external
connector between the system (COM2) and the remote access
device.
When set to rad , the external serial connector is routed to the
remote access device interface. Terminal escape sequences can
toggle the external connector between the system (COM2) and the
remote access device.
This option can be replicated.
Example:
A:>syscfg --extserial=com1
extserial=com1
The --serialcomm option can be used with the external serial (--
extserial) option instead of the --conred (available on systems earlier
than PowerEdge 9G systems) option.

All PowerEdge systems prior to PowerEdge 12G systems except
Blade systems.

Description
