Schnellstart-Installation 1 Einführung in die Installation Dieses Handbuch enthält Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitungen zur Installation und Konfiguration der OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter (OMIVV) auf Dell-Servern.
Hardwareanforderungen OMIVV bietet vollständige Unterstützung für mehrere Generationen von Dell-Servern, mit voller Unterstützung des Funktionsumfangs für Server mit iDRAC Express oder Enterprise. Ausführliche Informationen zu den plattformspezifischen Anforderungen finden Sie in den OpenManage Integration for VMWare vCenter Release Notes, verfügbar unter Dell.com/support/manuals.
a. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Systeme verbunden sind und der vCenter-Server hochgefahren wurde und ausgeführt wird. b. Stellen Sie die OVF-Datei (Open Virtualization Format), die die OMIVV Integration for VMware vCenter enthält, mithilfe des vSphere-Clients oder vSphere-Web-Clients bereit. c. Laden Sie die Lizenzdatei hoch. d. Registrieren Sie die OMIVV über die Verwaltungskonsole beim vCenter-Server. ANMERKUNG: Die Registrierung unter Verwendung von FQDN wird dringend empfohlen.
a. Geben Sie im Textfeld Name den Namen der Vorlage ein. Diese Name darf bis zu 80 Zeichen lang sein. b. Die IP-Adresse ist die IP-Adresse der Geräte-VM und nicht die ESXi Host-IP-Adresse. Auf die Verwaltungskonsole kann zugegriffen werden, indem Sie die erwähnte URL oben in der Konsole verwenden. Zum Beispiel: https://10.210.126.120 oder https://myesxihost.

Führen Sie im Fenster Neuen vCenter-Server registrieren einen der folgenden Vorgänge aus: a. Geben Sie unter vCenter-Name im Textfeld IP oder Hostname des vCenter-Servers die IP oder den Hostnamen des Servers und anschließend im Textfeld Beschreibung eine optionale Beschreibung ein.
ANMERKUNG: • Falls die Lizenzdatei geändert oder in irgendeiner Weise bearbeitet wird, funktioniert sie nicht und Sie müssen eine E-Mail mit der ursprünglichen Bestellnummer an download_software@dell.com senden. In diesem Verfahren wird die XML-Lizenzdatei verwendet und sie hat keinen fest kodierten Dateinamen. • Sie können keine einzelne XML-Datei zum Hochladen verwenden; verwenden Sie stattdessen die Lizenz XML-Datei, die in einer komprimierten Datei enthalten ist.
ANMERKUNG: Heben Sie nicht die Registrierung des Plugins von vCenter aus auf. Die Aufhebung der Registrierung des Plugins von vCenter entfernt alle auf vCenter registrierten Alarme und entfernt alle Anpassungen, die hinsichtlich von Alarmen, wie z.B. Maßnahmen usw. vorgenommen wurden.
ANMERKUNG: Das Aufheben der Plugin-Registrierung entfernt alle benutzerdefinierten Einstellungen der registrierten Alarme des Plugins. Die folgenden Schritte stellen die benutzerdefinierten Einstellungen nicht wieder her, registrieren aber erneut die Alarme mit ihren Standardeinstellungen. 1. Führen Sie Schritt 3 bis Schritt 5 unter Migrationspfad zur Migration von 2.x auf 3.0 durch. 2. Wie OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter konfiguriert oder bearbeitet werden kann 2 Nachdem Sie die grundlegende Installation von OMIVV beenden, wird der Erstkonfigurationsassistent angezeigt, wenn Sie das OMIVV-Symbol anklicken. Verwenden Sie den Erstkonfigurationsassistenten, um die Einstellungen beim ersten Start zu konfigurieren. Für nachfolgende Instanzen verwenden Sie die Seite Einstellungen.

Das Kennwort darf maximal 127 Zeichen enthalten. – Geben Sie unter Kennwort bestätigen das Kennwort erneut ein.

So planen Sie einen Bestandsaufnahme-Job: 1. Wählen Sie im Konfigurationsassistenten im Fenster Zeitplan Bestandsaufnahme Bestandsaufnahme-Datenabruf aktivieren aus, falls dies nicht aktiviert ist. Abrufen von Bestandsaufnahmedaten ist standardmäßig aktiviert. 2. Führen Sie unter Zeitplan für den Abruf von Bestandsaufnahmedaten Folgendes aus: a. ANMERKUNG: Gehäuse werden erkannt und stehen erst nach erfolgreicher Durchführung der Bestandsaufnahme aller unter einem Gehäuse vorhandenen modularen Hosts für die Zuordnung zu diesem Gehäuseprofil zur Verfügung. 6. Repository für die Firmware-Aktualisierung In OMIVV können Sie in der Registerkarte Einstellungen den Standort einrichten, von dem aus die Server FirmwareAktualisierungen empfangen können. Dies ist eine globale Einstellung. Die Einstellungen für das Firmware-Repository enthalten den Speicherort des Firmware-Katalogs, der zum Aktualisieren von bereitgestellten Servern verwendet wird. Im Folgenden werden die Speicherorte dargestellt: • Dell (ftp.dell .
OMSA-Web-Server-URL Der OMSA-Link ist die URL zum Starten der OMSA-Benutzeroberfläche für die Host-Server, auf denen OMSA installiert ist. ANMERKUNG: OMSA wird nur auf Dell PowerEdge-Servern der 11. Generation benötigt. 1. Klicken Sie in OMIVV auf Verwalten → Einstellungen. 2. Klicken Sie unter vCenter-Einstellungen auf der rechten Seite der OMSA-Web-Server-URL auf Bearbeiten. 3. Geben Sie im Dialogfeld OMSA-Web-Server-URL die URL ein.
Lizenzierung in OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter 4 Dieses Kapitel enthält Details zur Lizenzierung in OMIVV. Es sind keine neuen Lizenzänderungen für 3.0 vorhanden. ANMERKUNG: Die Lizenzierung für OMIVV ändert die Anzahl der vCenter-Verbindungslizenzen nicht. Die maximale Anzahl der vCenter-Lizenzen ist 10. Wenn Sie mehrere vCenter registrieren möchten, müssen alle vCenter Teil des gleichen SSO sein. In dieser OMIVV-Version werden mehrere separate Instanzen von vCenter nicht unterstützt.
ANMERKUNG: Möglicherweise erhalten Sie die Lizenzdatei als gepackte ZIP-Datei. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie die Zip-Datei entpacken und laden Sie nur die XML-Lizenzdatei hoch. Die Lizenzdatei wird wahrscheinlich auf Grundlage Ihrer Auftragsnummer benannt (d. h. 123456789.xml) 4. „Lizenzdatei hochladen“ sollte eine Erfolgsmeldung anzeigen, wenn der Lizenz-Upload erfolgreich war.
Testlizenzen Wenn eine Testlizenz abläuft, funktionieren mehrere wichtige Bereiche nicht mehr und es wird eine Fehlermeldung angezeigt. Hinzufügen von Hosts zu Verbindungsprofilen Beim Hinzufügen eines Hosts zu einem Verbindungsprofil wird verhindert, dass weitere Hosts hinzugefügt werden, wenn die Anzahl von lizenzierten Servern der 11. Generation oder neuer überschritten wird und über die Lizenzanzahl hinausgeht.
