Introduction This technical document describes how user can migrate from Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration Version 3.3 for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (DLCI for SCCM) to OpenManage Integration Version 7.0 for Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC). OMIMSSC does not support upgrade from DLCI for SCCM, and hence manual migration of data is required.
Saving user data from DLCI for SCCM Before migrating from DLCI for SCCM to OMIMSSC, ensure that you capture all the user details from DLCI for SCCM. The details to be captured are listed below. 1. Note down the credentials (user name and password) used to discover servers in DLCI for SCCM. 2. Share path of boot images or supporting files—WIM files can be used in OMIMSSC to re-create boot images. 3. Save a local copy of the purchased license file.
Uninstalling DLCI for SCCM Uninstall DLCI for SCCM to proceed further with the migration. For more information, see Uninstalling Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration for Configuration Manager section of Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration Version 3.3 for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager Installation Guide.
Setting up OMIMSSC Once you uninstall DLCI for SCCM, install and launch OMIMSSC. To configure OMIMSSC, perform the following steps. 1. Setting up OMIMSSC Appliance— create and configure a VM for OMIMSSC. 2. Launch admin portal to download OMIMSSC components. 3. Download and install, Integration Gateway and OMIMSCC console extension for SCCM. 4. Enroll SCCM with OMIMSSC. 5. Launch OMIMSSC console extension for SCCM.
Recreating data in OMIMSSC This section provides information on how to migrate or re-create the user data captured in Saving user data from DLCI for SCCM. 1. Credential profile for discovery—create a Device Type Credential profile with the saved credential profile to discover servers that were already discovered in DLCI for SCCM. You can discover Dell EMC servers by synchronizing SCCM with OMIMSSC or using their iDRAC IP address.

is installed. Create boot images with the copied WIM file in OMIMSSC. Integration for Microsoft System Center User's Guide. Lifecycle controller (LC) boot media LC boot media created has references to boot image created in DLCI for SCCM. Hence the image cannot be exported in OMIMSSC. For information about creating LC boot media, see Creating Lifecycle Controller boot media section in OpenManage Integration for Microsoft System Center User's Guide.
