10 Introduction

What’s New in Dell OpenManage Version 5.4?

The following changes in Dell OpenManage version 5.4 (Dell OpenManage

Server Administrator version 5.4) affect this Compatibility Guide:

• Added support for the following Dell PowerEdge™ systems: T200, T300,

R300, R905, and Dell PowerVault™ MD1120

NOTE: The PowerEdge T200, T300, R300, T605, and R905 are scheduled to be

available in the first half of 2008.

• Added support for SUSE

Linux Enterprise Server 9 (SP4)

•The

Dell Systems Management Tools and Documentation

DVD contains

version 5.4 of the Dell OpenManage systems management software kit.

The root of the DVD also contains ISO images of the Dell Systems Build

and Update Utility (version 1.0) and the

Dell Systems Console and Agent

CD (Dell OpenManage software version 5.3.0.1). You can use these ISO

images to create CDs for systems that do not have DVD drives.

However, if you need the latest version (version 1.0.3) of the Dell Systems

Build and Update Utility (to support

and

Dell systems and

Windows Server 2008 operating systems), you can download the ISO
