The Typical Setup option (recommended) automatically installs all the detected software components that are necessary to manage your system. The Custom Setup option enables you to select the software components you want to install. The procedure in this document is based on the Typical Setup option.

Updating Drivers and Utilities The SERVICE directory in the DVD contains device drivers and utilities that you can use to update your system. Copy the drivers and utilities to either a diskette or to your system’s hard drive to use them.

SUU compares what is on your system with the versions of components available in its Repository. For any component on your system that is outdated and can be upgraded using SUU, a green up-arrow icon displays.
