Installing and Configuring Enterprise Linux
CAUTION: To ensure that the operating system is installed correctly, disconnect all
external storage devices from the system before you install the operating system.
This section describes the installation of the Red Hat and Oracle Enterprise
Linux AS operating system and the configuration of the operating system for
Oracle Database deployment.
Before You Begin
Before you install the Enterprise Linux operating system, download the
Enterprise Linux Quarterly Update ISO images from the Red Hat Network or
Unbreakable Linux Network, and burn these images to CD/DVD. Refer to the
following Web site for information on installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux:
