Storm Control
Storm control allows you to control unknown-unicast, muticast, and broadcast traffic on Layer 2 and Layer 3 physical interfaces.
Dell EMC Networking Operating System (OS) Behavior: Dell EMC Networking OS supports unknown-unicast, muticast,
and broadcast control for Layer 2 and Layer 3 traffic.
To view the storm control broadcast configuration show storm-control broadcast | multicast | unknown-
unicast | pfc-llfc[interface] command.

To view the storm control multicast configuration, use the show storm-control broadcast | multicast |
unknown-unicast | pfc-llfc [interface] command.

To display the storm control unknown-unicast configuration, use the show storm-control unknown-unicast
[interface] command.

Storm control is supported in INTERFACE mode and CONFIGURATION mode.
Configuring Storm Control from INTERFACE Mode
To configure storm control, use the following command.
From INTERFACE mode:
You can only configure storm control for ingress traffic.
If you configure storm control from both INTERFACE and CONFIGURATION mode, the INTERFACE mode configurations
override the CONFIGURATION mode configurations.
The storm control is calculated in packets per second.
Configure storm control.
INTERFACE mode
Configure the packets per second of broadcast traffic allowed on an interface (ingress only).
INTERFACE mode
storm-control broadcast packets_per_second in
Configure the packets per second of multicast traffic allowed on C-Series or S-Series interface (ingress only) network only.
