Usage
Information
When you use this command to redistribute routes into a routing domain, the router becomes an
autonomous system (AS) boundary router. An AS boundary router does not always generate a default
route into a routing domain. The router still requires its own default route before it can generate one.
How a metric value assigned to a default route advertises depends on the metric-style command
configuration. If the metric-style command is set for Narrow mode and the metric value in the
default-information originate command is set to a number higher than 63, the metric value
advertised in the LSPs is 63. If the metric-style command is set for Wide mode, the metric value in
the default-information originate command is advertised.
