1. Cancel BMP and disable BMP from the next reload:
DellEMC# stop bmp
DellEMC# conf
DellEMC(conf)# reload-type
DellEMC(conf-reload-type)# boot-type normal-reload
DellEMC(conf-reload-type)# end
2. Dell EMC Networking recommends that you back up your startup configuration and any important files and directories to an
external media prior to upgrading the system.
3. Upgrade the Dell EMC Networking OS in flash partition A: or B:

4. Verify that the Dell EMC Networking OS has been upgraded correctly in the upgraded flash partition

5. Change the Primary Boot Parameter of the S6100-ON to the upgraded partition A: or B:

6. Save the configuration so that the configuration will be retained after a reload using the write memory command.
