domain-password
Set the authentication password for a routing domain.
Syntax
domain-password [hmac-md5 | encryption-type] password
To disable the password, use the no domain-password command.
Parameters
hmac-md5 (OPTIONAL) Enter the keywords hmac-md5 to encrypt the password using MD5.
encryption-type
(OPTIONAL) Enter 7 to encrypt the password using DES.
password
Enter an alphanumeric string up to 16 characters long. If you do not specify an
encryption type or hmac-md5 keywords, the password is processed as plain
text which provides limited security.
Defaults No default password.

Usage
Information
The domain password is inserted in Level 2 link state PDUs (LSPs), complete sequence number PDUs
(CSNPs), and partial sequence number PDUs (PSNPs).
