Usage
Information
You can split a 40G port into four 10G ports.
You can use the stack-unit portmode command to dynamically fan-out 40G ports into 10G ports
and vice-versa without reloading a switch.
The port must be in a default configuration before it can be split. As the 40G port is lost in the
configuration when the port is split, ensure that you remove the port from other L2/L3 feature
configurations.
You cannot use this command if you use an LR4 optics.
The following guidelines apply to the splitting of 40GbE QSFP+ ports into four 10GbE SFP+ ports by using
the stack-unit portmode command on the S6000 or S6000ON platform.
On an S6000 switch, the fan-out profile constructs automatically
with default 24 ports on quad-port-profile. The default ports are,
0,8,16,24,32,36,40,44,48,52,56,60,64,68,72,76,80,84,88,92,100,108,116,124.
