neighbor fall-over
Enable or disable fast fall-over for BGP neighbors.
Syntax
neighbor {ipv4-address | peer-group-name} fall-over
To disable, use the no neighbor {ipv4-address | peer-group-name} fall-over command.
Parameters
ipv4-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name Enter the name of the peer group.
Defaults Disabled.

Usage
Information
When you enable failover, BGP keeps track of IP or IPv6 ability to reach the peer remote address and the
peer local address. Whenever either address becomes unreachable (for example, no active route exists in
the routing table for the peer IP or IPv6 destination/local address), BGP brings down the session with the
peer.

To accept external routes from neighbors with a local AS number in the AS number path, configure Internal BGP (IBGP) routers.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} local-as as-number [no-prepend]
To return to the default value, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name}
local-as command.
