Usage
Information
When you enable this command, if a Policy Map containing classification rules (ACL and/or dscp/ ip-
precedence rules) is applied to more than one physical interface on the same port pipe, only a single copy
of the policy is written (only one FP entry is used).
NOTE: An ACL itself may still require more that a single FP entry, regardless of the number of
interfaces. For more information, refer to the IP Access Control Lists, Prefix Lists, and Route-
map sections in the Dell EMC Networking OS Configuration Guide.

Version Description
9.14(0.0) Introduced on the S6100ON and Z9100ON.
Usage
Information
Use the cam-sharing command to share the IPV6 ACL CAM region with the IPv4 QOS CAM region.
You can partition the CAM as per the sharing requirements and both IPV6 ACLs and IPV4 QOS ACLs are
installed on the same CAM region.
You can enable this command only after using the feature ipv6acloptimized command on the
system.
When you use this feature, set either the IPv4 QoS or the IPv6 ACL CAM region to zero using the
cam-acl command
Save the configuration and reload the system for the change to take effect.
The IPv4 QoS region reserves 32 ACLs. Sharing is calculated on the remaining ACLs. For example, if you
configure the IPv6 ACL value as 2, the system reserves 32 entries for IPv4 QoS and the remaining 224
entries (256-32) are shared between IPv4 QoS and IPv6 ACL entries according to the configured CAM
sharing percentages.
The sum of the percentage values between the two regions must be 100.
