Information
In a square VLT topology with a single link connecting to the remote peers, If a VLT peer goes down, the
local VLT node must be prompted to stop transmitting its peers MAC address. You can configure the
peer-timeout value command to stop the local VLT node from transmitting the peer MAC address
within the configured peer timeout value. The default timeout value is infinity. You must enable the vlt-
peer-mac transmit to configure a peer time out value.

Information
When proxy-gateway static configuration is added, the setting is saved in the Layer 2 module. When you
remove the static proxy gateway configuration, each proxy-gateway static mac configured is
deleted from the Layer 2 module.
