Enter the following fields:
Region Name (1-32 Characters)
— Enter the user-defined MSTP
region name.
Revision (0-65535)
— Enter the unsigned 16-bit number that
identifies the current MST configuration revision. The revision
number is required as part of the MST configuration.
Max Hops (1-40)
— Enter the total number of hops that occur in a
specific region before the BPDU is discarded. Once the BPDU is
discarded, the port information is aged out.
IST Master
— Displays the Internal Spanning Tree Master ID. The
IST Master is the instance 0 root.
Configuring MST Properties Using CLI Commands
The following table summarizes the CLI commands for configuring MST
properties in the MSTP Properties pages.

Enters MST Configuration mode.

Configures the number of hops in an MST
region before the BDPU is discarded and the
port information is aged out (in Global
Configuration mode).
Use the no form of this command to restore
the default configuration.
name string
no name
Sets the MSTP region name.
Use the no form of this command to restore
the default setting.
revision value
no revision
Defines the MST configuration revision
number.
Use the no form of this command to restore
the default configuration.
exit Exits the MST region configuration mode
after applying configuration changes.
