User Interface Commands
This chapter explains the following commands:
enable
Use the enable command in User EXEC mode to enter the Privileged EXEC
mode.
Syntax
enable
Default Configuration
The default privilege level is 15.
Command Mode
User EXEC and Privileged EXEC modes
User Guidelines
If there is no authentication method defined for enable, then a level 1 user is
not allowed to execute this command.
Example
The following example shows how to enter privileged mode.
console>enable
console#
enable –
end –
exit quit
