Syntax
spanning-tree max-hops hops
no spanning-tree max-hops
• hops — The maximum number of hops to use (Range: 6 to 40).
Default Configuration
The maximum number of hops is 20 by default.

There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
console(config)#spanning-tree max-hops 32
spanning-tree mode
Use the spanning-tree mode command in Global Configuration mode to
configure the spanning-tree protocol. To return to the default configuration,
use the no form of this command.
Syntax
spanning-tree mode {stp | rstp | mst}
no spanning-tree mode
• stp — Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is enabled.
•
rstp — Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) is enabled.
•
mst — Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) is enabled.
Default Configuration
Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) is supported.
