102 Using Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator
Starting the Application
To access the Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator and log on to the
switch:
1
Open a web browser.
2 Enter the IP address of the switch in the address bar and press <Enter>.
For information about assigning an IP address to a switch, see "Setting the
IP Address and Other Basic Network Information" on page 123.
3 When the Login window displays, enter a user name and password.
Passwords are both case sensitive and alpha-numeric.

4 Click Submit .
NOTE: The switch is configured with a default user name of root, and the
default password is calvin. For information about creating a user and
password or changing the default password, see "Configuring
Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting" on page 181.
