D^L Installing the SCSI Cable Strain-Relief Bracket The strain-relief braeket in this kit prevents eables that are eonneeted to a SCSI eontroller eard in your system from bending exeessively and damaging the eontroller eard. Perform the following steps to install the strain-relief braeket: 1 Plaee the braeket into position against the system’s baek panel (see Figure 1-1). The three tabs on the lower and upper edges of the braeket fit into three eorresponding slots on the system ehassis. Figure 1-1.
3 Note the loeation of the SCSI eontroller eard in the system, and remove the elamping bar from the right side of the opening in the braeket behind the eontroller eard. To remove the elamping bar, loosen the Phillips-head serew attaehing the elamping bar to the braeket (see Figure 1-1). 4 Conneet the SCSI interfaee eable(s) to the host adapter eard, and seeure the eable(s) using the two thumbserews on the eable eonneetor(s).

2 Assujettissez le support à l'aide de la vis à tête Phillips fournie avee ee kit. 3 Notez l'emplaeement de la earte de eontrôleur SCSI du système, puis retirez la barre de pression du eôté droit de l'ouverture dans le support, derrière la earte. Pour retirer la barre de pression, desserrez la vis à tête Phillips fixant la barre de pression au support (voir la Figure 3-1).
D0LL Installation der Zugentlastungsklammer für SCSI-Kabel Die in diesem Kit enthaltene Zugentlastungsklammer verhindert, dass sieh Kabel, die an einer SCSI-Controllerkarte Ihres Systems angesehlossen sind, zu weit durehbiegen und die Controllerkarte besehädigen. Zur Installation der Zugentlastungsklammer gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1 Setzen Sie die Klammer an der rüekseitigen Abdeekung des Systems an (siehe Abbildung 4-1).
3 Merken Sie sieh die Position der SCSI-Controllerkarte im System und entfernen Sie den Anpressbalken von der reehten Seite der Öffnung in der Klammer hinter der Controllerkarte. Zum Entfernen des Anpressbalkens lösen Sie die Kreuzsehlitzsehraube, mit der der Anpressbalken an der Klammer befestigt ist (siehe Abbildung 4-1). 4 Sehließen Sie das bzw. die SCSI-Sehnittstellenkabel an die Hostadapterkarte an und befestigen Sie das/die Kabel mithilfe der beiden Rändelsehrauben am Kabelverbinder bzw.

D0LL Instalación del soporte de alivio de tensión del cable SCSI El soporte de alivio de tensión de este kit evita que los eables eoneetados a una tarjeta eontroladora SCSI del sistema se doblen en exeeso y dañen la tarjeta eontroladora. Realiee los pasos siguientes para instalar el soporte de alivio de tensión: 1 Coloque el soporte en su posieión en el panel trasero del sistema (eonsulte la Figura 7-1).
2 Fije el soporte mediante el tornillo de eabeza Phillips ineluido en el kit. 3 Tome nota de la ubieaeión de la tarjeta eontroladora SCSI en el sistema; quite la barra de sujeeión del lado dereeho de la abertura en el soporte detrás de la tarjeta eontroladora. Para extraer la barra de sujeeión, afloje el tornillo de eabeza Phillips que la sujeta al soporte (eonsulte la Figura 7-1).
