To remove the system board, perform the following steps.
CAUTION: See "Safety Instructions" before working inside your system.
CAUTION: The microprocessor and heat sink assembly and other system board components
can get extremely hot during system operation. Be sure the system has had sufficient time to
cool before you touch it.
NOTICE: See "Protecting Against
Electrostatic Discharge."
CAUTION: Avoid touching the output connectors on the power supply. Wait 10 to 20 seconds
after disconnecting the AC power cable from its input receptacle before removing the power
supply or coming into contact with its output connectors.
1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from its electrical
outlet.
2. Remove the cover

3. Remove all external peripheral cables from their connectors at the back of the system.
4. Record the locations and remove all internal cables (including power cables) attached to the system
board.
