Reference Guide

Introduction
This document provides information about the RACADM subcommands, supported RACADM interfaces, and property database
groups and object denitions for the following:
• iDRAC for Blade Servers
• iDRAC on Rack and Tower Servers
Most of the commands mentioned in this document are applicable for multi-generation servers. That is, the commands are applicable
for iDRAC6, iDRAC7, and iDRAC8. For more information on the commands applicable for a particular iDRAC version, see the iDRAC
RACADM Support Matrix available at dell.com/esmmanuals.
NOTE:
• From iDRAC version 2.00.00.00, the guide provides information specic to iDRAC. For information specic to Chassis

What’s New in This Release
• Added iDRAC.NIC.VLanEnable attribute to enable or disable the VLAN capabilities of the iDRAC server.
• Added iDRAC.NIC.VLanPort attribute to enable or disable the VLAN switch of the iDRAC.
• Added BIOS.IntegratedDevices.GlobalSlotDriverDisable attribute to control the pre-boot driver on any slot.
• Added BIOS.IntegratedDevices.IONonPostedPrefetch attribute to enable or disable the PCI I/O non-posted pre-
fetch mode to control the PCIe throughput.
• Added BIOS.Procsettings.Proc2Cores, BIOS.Procsettings.Proc3Cores, and
BIOS.Procsettings.Proc4Cores attributes to control the number of enabled cores in each processor.
• Added BIOS.SysProfileSettings.WriteDataCrc attribute to detect the DDR4 data bus issues and to resolve them
during the write operation.
• Added BIOS.SysSecurity.TpmFirmware attribute to display the rmware version of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
• Added BIOS.SysSecurity.TpmPpiBypassClear attribute to clear the Physical Presence Interface (PPI) Advanced
Conguration and Power Interface (ACPI). It also enables the operating system to by-pass the PPI-related prompts.
• Added BIOS.SysSecurity.TpmPpiBypassProvision attribute to enable or disable the Physical Presence Interface
(PPI) Advanced Conguration and Power Interface (ACPI). It also enables the operating system to bypass the PPI-related
prompts.
• Added –reboot option to the update command to perform a graceful system reboot after the rmware update.
• Added support for enhanced and exible backplane zoning or split modes.
• Added iDRAC.ServiceModule.iDRACHardReset attribute to reset an unresponsive iDRAC through the operating system.
• Added iDRAC.Redfish.Enable attribute to enable or disable Redsh service on iDRAC.
