Linking board and PCIe cable
Removing the linking board and PCIe cables
Prerequisites
NOTE:
Observe the routing of the cable as you remove it from the sled. Route the cable properly when you replace it to
prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the air shroud.
4. Remove the support bracket.
Steps
1. Press the release clip on the PCIe_A cable connector to disconnect the cable. See the System board connector for more
information.
2. Press the release clip on the PCIe_B cable connector to disconnect the cable. See the System board connector for more
information.
3. If connected, disconnect the SATA cable from the x16 M.2 riser.
4. Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the linking board and lift the board up along with the cables.
