This document provides information on the Dell PowerEdge FM120x4 systems, installed in the Dell PowerEdge FX2 enclosure.

Term Description
Enclosure Refers to the PowerEdge FX2 enclosure.
Sled or system Refers to the PowerEdge FM120x4 system.
Nodes Refer to the four compute nodes (Intel Atom C2000
processors) in the FM120x4 sled. Each node functions as an
independent server and can be remotely managed through
individual iDRACs.
Hard-drive/SSD bay Refers to the slots on the sled front panel in which the hard
drives/SSDs are installed.
Warm swap A component is considered warm swap if the node associated
with the component must be turned off before adding or
replacing the component. However, the sled and the rest of
the nodes remain powered on.
Hot swap A component is considered hot swap if it can be removed or
installed while the nodes and the sled are powered on.
