Dell EMC Update Packages
Dell EMC Update Packages (DUP) is a self-contained executable supported by Microsoft Windows or Linux that updates a
component on a server and applications like OMSA and iSM.
DUPs can be executed in GUI or in CLI mode.

Dell EMC Server Update Utility
Dell EMC Server Update Utility (SUU) is an application that contains a collection of updates, inventory collector, and update
applicator. When you run SUU on a target system, it determines which updates are appropriate and applies the ones that are
applicable.
SUU can be downloaded from Dell EMC Sever Update Utility or a custom SUU can be created using Dell EMC Repository
Manager (DRM). The SUU available on https://www.dell.com/esmmanuals includes all the updates for all currently supported
PowerEdge platforms. With DRM you can create a custom SUU with only the updates for systems in your data center.

Dell EMC Platform Specific Bootable ISO
Dell EMC Platform Specific Bootable ISO (PSBI) is a bootable ISO that contains all the firmware updates for a Dell EMC
PowerEdge Server. The ISO image includes a small bootable Linux distribution and a collection of all firmware for a specific
server model. The updates are done automatically after starting the server from the corresponding image.
NOTE: PSBI does not include a bootable ISO for PowerEdge C, DSS, XE, or XR platforms.

Dell EMC Update Manager Plugin
Dell EMC Update Manager Plugin (UMP) brings Dell Repository Manager functionality to OpenManage Enterprise v3.5. UMP
streamlines the custom repository creation, baseline creation, catalog creation, and downloads of update packages to a single
easy workflow. UMP allows for easy management of the repository, including; delete, import, and schedule refreshes. With
