Rear drive cage
Rear drive cage details
The drive cage supports up to four 2.5 inch or two 3.5 inch drives.
Removing rear drive cage
The procedure for removing 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch drive cages is identical.
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove all drives.
4. Disconnect all the cables from the rear drive backplane.
Steps
1. Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the screws that secure the drive cage to the system.
2. Hold the drive cage by its sides, and lift it away from the system.
