1. Install the following:
a. Fan tray
b. Cable management tray
c. Memory riser and fan cage
d. Memory riser
e. Cooling fans
2. Install the cooling shroud.
3. Follow the procedure listed in the After working inside your system section.
4. While booting, press F2 to enter System Setup and verify that the processor information matches the new system
configuration.
5. Run the system diagnostics to verify that the new processor operates correctly.

Removing a processor and heat sink blank

1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. Remove the following:
a. Memory risers
b. Cooling fans
c. Memory riser and fan cage
d. Cable management tray
e. Fan tray
1. Press the release tab located at the back of the processor and heat sink blank.
2. Lift the processor and heat sink blank out of the system.
