1. Install the SAS expander daughter card.
2. Reconnect the SAS cables connected to the SAS expander daughter card and hard drive backplane.

Installing the SAS expander daughter card
CAUTION:

your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
1. Open the release tabs, and insert the SAS expander daughter card into the slot in the front of the system.
2. Push the SAS expander daughter card into the system until the release tabs click into place.
NOTE: Ensure that the SAS expander daughter card pins engage with the slots on the backplane.
3. Press the release tabs to lock the SAS expander daughter card in place.
