Support Notifications

Disable support notifications

To avoid unnecessarily alerting Customer Support of an outage, disable support notifications before starting procedures that

disconnect a node by powering down or rebooting.

Steps

1. In PowerStore Manager, go to Settings > Support > Disable Support Notifications.

2. Click the checkbox for the appliance that you are servicing.

3. Click Modify.

4. Click the Enable Maintenance Mode checkbox.

5. In the Maintenance Window Duration (in hours) field, type a number of hours that will be longer than the time of the

procedure.

6. Click Apply.

Results

On the Disable Support Notifications screen for the appliance, the Maintenance Mode column will show "Enabled," and End

Time (on Cluster) will show the time when the system will resume sending support notifications.

Enable support notifications

Enable support notifications when you have finished servicing an appliance.

Steps

1. In PowerStore Manager, go to Settings > Support > Disable Support Notifications.

2. Click the checkbox for the appliance that you are servicing.

3. Click Modify.

4. Clear the Enable Maintenance Mode checkbox.

5. Click Apply.

Results

On the Disable Support Notifications screen for the appliance, the Maintenance Mode column will show "Disabled."
