Les ressources de stockage de volume permettent aux hôtes d’accéder à un stockage en mode bloc à usage général via des connexions iSCSI, Fibre Channel et NVMe-over-Fibre Channel.
La liste suivante décrit certains aspects importants à prendre en compte lors de la création de volumes : ● Votre système crée des volumes en tant que volumes dynamiques. ● Lors de la création d’un volume, le répartiteur de ressources détermine sur quelle appliance le volume est provisionné, sauf si ce volume a été mappé à un hôte/groupe d’hôtes spécifique. Dans ce cas, le volume est créé uniquement sur une appliance qui voit cet hôte/groupe d’hôtes.
REMARQUE : Vous pouvez également créer des volumes lorsque vous créez un groupe de volumes. 3. Dans le panneau coulissant Create Volumes, saisissez les informations suivantes sur le volume : ● Name (or Prefix) : lors de la création d’un seul volume, il s’agit du nom du volume. Lors de la création de plusieurs volumes, il s’agit du nom de base auquel un nombre est ajouté. ● Quantité : vous pouvez ajouter jusqu’à 100 volumes ayant les mêmes propriétés.
REMARQUE : Vous pouvez également accéder au panneau Propriétés en cliquant sur le nom du volume pour ouvrir la page Volume, puis en cliquant sur Actions > Properties Le panneau déroulant Properties vous permet de modifier le nom et la description du volume, d’augmenter la taille du volume et de modifier la politique de performances. Lorsque vous modifiez la taille du volume source, la taille du volume de destination est également modifiée.

Le mappage est effectué pour des volumes individuels au sein du groupe et non vers l’objet du groupe de volumes lui-même.
